Primitive Luminaries Luminaries are unique large quart size candle jars. I love the olde thyme look of Primitive Art and these images are used to create my one of a kind lighted luminaries. What makes them unique is when you add a votive, tealight (or battery operated flickering tealight) to the inside, the image on the front of the jar "glows". These look great in your primitive cabinets, shelves, in windows for decoration or to light a walkway, even on the front porch steps! My luminaries look like the olde time vintage mason or ball jars. Any glass container I can get my hands on! They have been hand-painted, some are rolled in my grungy mix & spices. Or done with my signature technique of the look of frosting. They are dusted in cinnamon and spices, and finished off with their own unique embellishments and hand-dyed cheesecloth or pip berries. Some are decorated with rusty bells or beaded embellishments. They have been sealed for preservation. They are made to look worn and have an aged appearance but will last for a lifetime if properly cared for.   "Ever After" A Cinderella Story #118  "Ever After" A Cinderella Story Luminarie The Ever After Luminary The outside is done in a rustic brown, tied off with coffee stained cheesecloth a copper safety pin & hanging from the amber and chocolate color beaded embellishment is a gold tone Cinderella carriage. The image on the front is from the beloved movie "ever after" starring Drew Barrymore. It was originally a work of Leonardo Da Vinci and not many people realize that they redid the original work of art for the movie to resemble Drew much more that the original model in the painting. This one is electric ladies, so you can plug it in and never need to change the tealight. This quart size jar has its own light strand on the inside to keep your luminarie lit for as long as you want. It has been grungied to prim perfection.
