Victorian Halloween Cones #147  Victorian Halloween Candy Cones My mom shared with me a tradition she used to do when she was a little girl along with my grandmother. Mom's a May day child she just celebrated her 70th Birthday! On May day, neighbors and friends would make Victorian cones, sometimes filled with treats and goodies, sometimes flowers and they would leave them on a friends front door for them to find. Today these make great gifts and party favors for someone special and and can be filled with not just fruits and nuts, but candies and flowers. My goal is to provide you with decor that is a modern-day reproduction with a vintage, nostalgic feel. Signed and dated by the artist. This is a set of two matching handmade Halloween themed party cones. They were created using beautiful Halloween themed cardstock papers. The inside is solid black color. The top of each cone has been trimmed with Bethany Lowe vintage Halloween tinsel trim in black. I hand selected some quality fibers to hang as tassels on the bottom of each cone. The front has a rustic sparkly embellishment, done on altered art papers from a fairy book, and garnished with a raised 3 dimensional Halloween die cut, one a spider, and the other a vintage pumpkin. All the items were specially correlated to compliment each other. Rustic brown ribbon ties are added for hanging. Show in photos with and without the black tissue paper. This is a set of 2 matching cones for your Halloween home decor. Cone length is 8" from top to tail. Total length with ribbon when hanging is approx 11". Circumference at rim of cone is 5". Sugared Candy Cane Orniments SOLD #77  Sugared Candy Cane Ornaments Another OOAK original from Witch Hollow Primitives for Christmas 2008 One of my favorite childhood memories was mom in the kitchen baking her famous candy cane cookies for Yule. They were twisted white and pink dough and sprinkled with sparkly sugar. The house always smelled extra special at Christmas time. This is where I got my idea for my hand made primitive dough ornaments. All of my dough ornies are home made, fresh out of the oven. These are all hand sculpted from my primitive dough recipe, twisting the ropes of pink and white dough together to form the candy cane. Each one is carefully dusted with glittery sugar coating. The are sealed with a protective finish for years of enjoyment. Each one has its own curly rusty wire hanger so that you can add them to your tree, or hang them on garlands or just about anywhere!
