Halloween Luminaries   Page 1 of 4   Next>> Luminaries are unique large quart size candle jars. I love the olde thyme look of vintage Halloween postcards and these images are used to create my one of a kind lighted luminaries. What makes them unique is when you add a votive, tealight (or battery operated flickering tealight) to the inside, the image on the front of the jar "glows". These look great in your primitive cabinets, shelves, in windows for decoration or to light a walkway, even on the front porch steps! My luminaries look like the olde time vintage mason or ball jars. Any glass container I can get my hands on! They have been hand-painted, some are rolled in my grungy mix & spices. They are dusted in cinnamon and spices, and finished off with their own unique embellishments and hand-dyed cheesecloth or pip berries. Some are decorated with rusty bells or beaded embellishments. They have been sealed for preservation. They are made to look worn and have an aged appearance.   The Kitchen Witch #56  Witches Kitchen Electric Luminarie Very grubby primitive luminarie with a vintage witch postcard image on the front. This one is electric ladies, so you can plug it in and never need to change the tealight. Each quart size jar has its own light strand on the inside to keep your luminarie lit for as long as you want. On the outside is an extra grubby mix, just enough to let some of the light show through! I tied off the top of this one with coffee stained cheesecloth and finished with a rusty bell attached to a rusty safety pin. The image is a print of a original painting done by Ron & Sherry Byrum of Byrum Art. It is used with express permission to create this wonderful luminarie so I may share their art with you as a lighted piece of artwork. The base is done in black and the the top of the jar has been tied off with specially selected high quality hand died fibers and ribbons in a fall colors, harvest oranges, browns, creams and sparkle! I have also added a rusty bell & pinned a little hand made witches broom that hangs on the side!  This luminarie is electric, so no need to change the tea light and you can leave it on as long as you like or turn it off. Halloween Nightmare Luminarie #22  Vintage Halloween Nightmare Luminarie Vintage Halloween Nightmare luminarie A cute little vintage postcard image of a Halloween girl adorns this primitive luminarie. The base is done in black and it has been grungied to prim perfection. The top of the jar has been tied off with hand dyed and scented cheesecloth. Very prim!
